The Base is a two-story octagonal building, built to the design drawings, dated 24th August 1979, of Mr. K. S. Renner, Chief Engineer of the Wellington Harbour Board, and completed in 1982.

The Base at Evans Bay Marina

The ground floor comprises the boatshed for the two DRVs, operational equipment storage, tool storage, oil and paint storage, the launching winch, a first aid room and shower facilities.

A mezzanine floor comprises a training room with audio-visual facilities, a kitchen area and an operations room, equipped with VHF radios, and other operational equipment.

Our base is located at the Evans Bay Marina, Wellington.
